The Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) has a multifaceted mission focused on plant conservation, research, and sustainable development. Its core objectives include conducting surveys of plant groups, maintaining living collections, propagating and conserving RET, medicinal, and other special group of plants having ecological & socio-economical importance, and conducting research in areas like tissue culture, microbial diversity, taxonomy, molecular biology, physiology & biochemistry. RPRC also aims to disseminate information, collaborate with national and international institutions, and provide quality planting materials.
