The Botanic Garden popularly known as Ekamrakanan park is an attraction for large number of visitors especially children’s from schools, students from colleges, universities and other institutions throughout the year. The Botanic Garden open to public from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm during summer and 8.00 am to 5.00 pm during winter. Garden opens on all days except Holi festival. Annually, more than two lakhs of people visit the garden.
The sprawling lawns, colourful flower beds, exquisite collection of plants are major attractions for passive recreation of people belonging to different age groups. The 45 acres of lake with crystal clear water attracts in-numeral number of migratory and local resident birds like Gadwall, Little Grebe, Cormorant, Oriental Darter, Brown Crowned Night Heron, Little Green Heron, Purple Heron and Little Egret during winter and provide boating facility to the visitors in this wonderful natural setting.
A monumental pyramid housing a rich collection of exotic Cacti and Succulents in it, is a feast for eyes. With a collection of 72 species of plants with scented flowers, the fragrance garden set up in a unique landscape is a place of learning for many. The hibicus garden has a collection of 52 varieties of hibiscus and rose garden with about 1000 varieties of hybrid-T, floribunda, polyantha and miniature roses are other attractions of the Botanic Garden.
The RET garden with 32 species of threatened plants is of interest to Botanists, Conservationist and Students interested in Biodiversity of state of Odisha. Another important feature of the Botanic Garden if the Palmetum were 54 different types of tropical palms are being grown for conservation and research.
Jagannath Vatika established in the year 2015, which holds 125 species of plants used in different rituals, festivals and day-to-day rites of Lord Jagananath, in five acres land creates enthusiasm and interest in large number of visitors interested in Jagannath culture and tradition.

The Centre has gone in for a novel scheme of allowing 'morning health walking' on nominal monthly fees and daily fees. The morning walk is allowed to public from 5.30 AM to 8.30 AM on all days except Holi festival.
